Shelter From The Storm

     This old Catholic church in the Hondo valley in New Mexico. It has always caught my eye. It is just up the road from Peter Hurd’s gallery.  He was one of my inspirations growing up. The first time I visited with brushes in hand it appeared abandoned except for some birds seeking shelter in the storm. It just struck me that that's what the building was built for.
